While Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a lifelong condition in which the needs of your child will change over time, there is hope for your child to live a fulfilled life with support and company of loved ones. Since 1993, FEAT families and supporters have worked hard to improve treatment resources and advocacy services; and effect changes in the minds of those who make program decisions for individuals with Autism and their families.

Begin our journey with us resolved to be an Autism treatment champion. Have confidence that through your commitment and hard work your family will successfully meet the challenges that a life including Autism brings. Show through example how highest quality treatment profoundly improves the life of the individual with Autism, their entire family and community.

IEP Basics Part 2 will offer new and seasoned FEAT parents a step by step guide through the IEP Process. Find the printable flyer with additional details here...
Participants will learn:
  • Questions to ask yourself and other members of the IEP team to ensure that the IEP documentation is properly completed to ensure a clear offer of FAPE
  • Guided process on how to ask for what your child needs
  • How to respond to statements or questions when it appears your concerns are not being addressed or being ignored by the school
  • How to respond during confrontational IEP meetings
FEAT Board Members will participate in a follow up question/answer session. This informational meeting is for FEAT Parents and Caregivers only and will begin promptly at 7pm.

SATURDAY JULY 19, 2014 5:30pm-8:30pm Antelope Aquatics Complex 8012 Palmerson Drive, Antelope, 95843 

Reserved exclusively for FEAT families and their relatives and friends, Antelope Aquatics Complex is fully gated with plenty of lifeguards on duty and features three separate pools with interactive water play structures, two water slides, and a ten lane competitive pool ideal for teens and young adults. Cold drinks provided. Okay to bring a picnic.

Suggested Donation: $5 per person donation payable at the Gate on Saturday, July 19. (Cash or Checks made to FEAT please.) 

IMPORTANT: Bring lawn/pool chairs, towels and sunscreen. Proper swim attire required. Only Coast Guard Approved swimming jackets allowed. No other floating devices permitted. Disposable swim diapers required for children who are not bathroom trained. No glass containers or alcohol.
